Graduate Admissions (for International Students) : Examination Guidelines

Academic Prospectus

Graduate schools at Waseda University are engaged in research and instruction in the humanities and sciences fields at an advanced level in terms of both theory and practice, seeking to deepen knowledge, create and develop cultures, and contribute to the welfare of mankind. Graduate courses consist of a Master's program for two years and a Doctoral program for the following three years. Graduate schools are broadly divided into, on the one hand, independent and professional graduate schools that have research centers and institutes as their parent bodies, and on the other hand, other graduate schools that have undergraduate schools as their parent bodies. In recent years, graduate schools at Waseda University have been accepting an increasing number of mature students and conducting advanced education and research open to society to answer the needs of the times. Some graduate schools also offer September admission.
Entrance examination schedules and subjects vary by graduate school.
